Which vehicles can be fitted out with dieselpower+ tuning boxes?
All diesel vehicles with pump nozzle injection, Common-Rail injection, VP37 diesel pump as well as VP44/VP30 /Lucas diesel pump.


How does the dieselpower+ tuning box work?
These electronics are used in vehicles which are equipped with a conventional electronic fuel injection from Bosch or Lucas. By changing the fuel injection pump signals from the control instrument to the fuel injection, an increase in power is produced. Performance can be improved by up to 40 bhp in some cases.

What effect do dieselpower+ tuning boxes have on fuel consumption?
As long as the vehicle is driven in a controlled or defensive manner, fuel consumption remains the same or even decreases. A "before and after check" on a Mercedes 220 CDI produced the following: On a 30 km country road, 10 km inner city journey and a 30 km motorway journey yielded a fuel reduction of 1.2l / 100 km with defensive manner of driving and at a maximum speed of 140 km/h on the motorway.

 


Why less consumption?
Because of the dieselpower+ tuning boxes. The torque characteristics of the engine change and become fundamentally more elastic. Therefore you can drive in town with fewer gear changes. A high number of gear changes means continuously accelerating and braking which uses more fuel. So the number of gear changes, which would normally be needed is reduced, as well as the fuel consumption - higher torque = lower rpm = lower consumption.

 

Will my vehicle smoke after installation of the dieselpower+ tuning boxes?
No. Only badly adjusted vehicles produce soot.



What affect do dieselpower+ tuning boxes have on top speed?
Dieselpower+ tuning boxes were developed to increase and optimise torque at lower and middle rpm. Top speed is nevertheless increased in some vehicles. This lies in the region of 5 -15 km / h and depends on the vehicle.

 


Why doesn't the manufacturer set the vehicle up optimally from the start?
Manufacturers build cars for the worldwide market. In other countries the fuel used doesn't correspond to our quality standards. Continuous operation at extreme heights can also worsen combustion. These are qualities and conditions which don't have to be taken into account within Europe. Furthermore the production tolerance can also play a role. The performance may have to be raised a little when the vehicle is on the testing stand after production, therefore these tolerances are necessary.

 

Do dieselpower+ tuning boxes have an effect on the vehicle emission test ?
No, the valid vehicle emission amounts are not changed. Therefore there are no problems when having the vehicle MOT tested.


Do dieselpower+ boxes need to be registered in the vehicle documentation?
No. dieselpower+ tuning boxes only need to be individually registered in the vehicle documentation in Germany.

 


Do dieselpower+ tuning boxes work in automatic vehicles too?
Yes, these use another control unit, but it has no influence on the increase in performance. This automatic system adapts automatically.


How long does the installation take?
The installation takes 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the box type.

 

Can the original state be restored after installation of dieselpower+ tuning boxes?
Yes, at any time and without any problems.


For my vehicle there are two cable-tree connections (8 or 10-pole) only VAG 90 & 110 hp
You can tell whether the 8 or 10-pole version is installed in your vehicle, if you separate the hardware connection of the diesel pump from the loom of cable and count the number of contacts (8 or 10).

 

How long do I have guarantee on dieselpower+ tuning boxes?
dieselpower+ grants you 3 years on the product. If a product becomes faulty an exchange is possible at any time. We cannot repair any damage due to foreign intervention free of charge- in this case the guarantee is invalid.

 

Does the vehicle have a shorter lifetime after the modification?
dieselpower+ tuning boxes are coordinated so that any limiting values of the vehicle or the engine and their components can be exceeded. If driven normally a slightly higher wear can be reckoned with.
